Janice Markellos is the senior paralegal, initially joining Schuchman & Marshall in 2004. A native of Indianapolis, Ms. Markellos attended the University of Indian majoring in English and obtained her American Bar Association Paralegal certification in 1994. During her studies, Ms. Markellos was honored in two consecutive years with the ECCC Legal Briefing award. Ms. Markellos is a 2008 graduate of the University of West Los Angeles School of Law, where she obtained her Juris Doctorate degree.

Ms. Markellos values service to her community. A long-time South Bay resident, she has volunteered at the Domestic Violence Clinic at the Los Angeles Superior Court, South West Branch, has interned at the Public Defender's Office and at the Legal Aid Clinic at UWLA.

A mother and step mother of four children, including a special needs child, Ms. Markellos has extensive experience in the special education arena, where she has worked as a parent advocate.
